Lady Deacons fall to Holy Family Tigers 7-1
BLOOMFIELD, NJ (October 10, 2009): The women's soccer team fell to 2-11on the season Saturday afternoon, suffering a 7-1 loss to the Holy Family University Lady Tigers at Orange Park.
Freshman
Stacey Jones notched the Lady Deacons' lone goal of the day, pushing her season total to eight. But five different scorers helped put the game out of reach for Holy Family as Dawn Curry, Katherine Helkowski, Megan Tole and Melissa Moratti each notched a goal for the Lady Tigers, with Kelsey Marvill tallying two goals of her own to seal the 7-1 victory.
The Lady Deacons return to action on October 13 with a match against conference rival Nyack College. The opening whistle is set for 3:00 PM.
