PHILADELPHIA, PA: The Lady Deacons saw their record fall to 5-15 on the 2009 season Saturday with a pair of losses against Holy Family University and Queens College Saturday afternoon in Philly.

The first match of the day for Bloomfield saw the Lady Deacons pitted against Queens, who bested Coach Valbrun's girls by a 3-0 margin.  Ursula Pereira and #Uerequenia Pereira combined for 20 kills in the match, but it wasn't enough to stop the balanced Queens attack as they played to a 25-18, 25-20, 25-16 victory.

In the second match of the day Bloomfield faced conference rival Holy Family, and quickly fell behind with a 25-15 loss in the first set.  But the Lady Deacons would rally in set number two to even the match with a 25-18 victory, but the Lady Tigers would take the next two sets in decisive fashion, earning 25-12 and 25-21 victories to take a 3-1 match victory.

Ursula Pereira notched a team-high 27 kills in the matches, with Uerequenia Pereira finishing with 18.  Tiffany Jackson finished with nine total kills on the day.

The team returns to action on October 22 with a road match against Felician College.  The opening whistle is set for 7:00 PM.
