BLOOMFIELD NJ (OCTOBER 27, 2009): The women's volleyball team pulled out a much-needed victory Tuesday night in Bloomfield, avenging an early-season loss and winning a 3-0 decision over the visiting Nyack College Warriors.
In one of their best performances of the season, the Lady Deacons were faced with close games in each of the three sets, but pulled through with outstanding play and team chemistry. Each set was tied at 22 apiece, but the Lady Deacons prevailed in all three, pulling out 25-23, 25-23, and 25-22 wins to move their record to 7-9 in CACC play, one game out of the final playoff spot with three to play.
Senior
Ursula Pereira lead the way with 16 kills in the victory for the Lady Deacons.
Tiffany Jackson registered another solid performance in the win, posting five kills.
The team returns to action Thursday, October 29 when they take on the Post University Eagles on Senior Night. The opening whistle is set for 7:30 PM.
