Ursula Pereira has been named to the All-CACC first team, in the final poll released Wednesday, November 11.
The driving force behind the Lady Deacons' offensive attack, Pereira has been voted CACC Player of the Week once in the 2009 season, and has made Honorable Mention for the award on four separate occasions. A former CACC Rookie of the Year, she averaged 3.77 kills per game, totaling 332 in the 2009 season. She also finished second on the team with 34 service aces, and tops on the club with 52 blocks.
"We are extremely pleased to have Ursula receive this recognition," head coach Anthony Valbrun said. "She has been an outstanding player for Bloomfield College throughout her four years here, and we will certainly miss her next season. She had a marvelous season this year, so it's great that the other coaches in the league recognize the kind of player she is."
