The Deacons broke open the scoring in the bottom of the first on rbi singles by Alberto Ruiz and Kevin Lauranzon.  USP would take advantage of two BC errors in the top of the second inning to tie the game at 3-3.  Bloomfield added 2 more in the bottom of the third on another rbi single by Lauranzon and rbi fielder's choice by Chris Rosa to lead 5-3.  USP again took advantage of another BC miscue to add on three more in the top of the fourth to lead 6-5.

The Deacons tied the game at 6 runs each in the bottom of the fourth on a solo homerun over the left field fence off the bat of Jonattan Fernandez, the first of his college career.  The Deacons would break open the game in the bottom of the fifth adding 5 runs to take control of the game at 11-6.  Anthony Addone would give the Deacons a 7-6 lead on a two out, bases loaded rbi single.  Jonattan Fernandez followed with his 2nd homerun of the game, a grandslam, to put the Deacons up 11-6.

Bloomfield tacked on 2 more runs in the 6th on a 2 rbi single by Chris Rosa, 1 more in the 7th on an rbi single by Ricky Maldonado, and 2 more in the 8th on another single by Addone.

Sean Stimpfel picks up his third victory of the season, pitching 6.0 innings, allowing 1 earned run and striking out 6.  Elvis Urena, John Whitley and Jon Walsh combined to pitch a scoreless 7th, 8th, and 9th to seal the victory.
