Ricky Maldonado has been named to the 2009 ABCA Division II East All-Region team. Maldonado, in only his 2nd full season as a position player, was named a 2nd team selection. Some of his career accomplishments are below:
2009
-Led team in AVG (.355), hits (61), doubles (12), slugging (.471), on base percentage .(420), and total bases (81)
-Led the Central Atlantic Conference in strikeout to at bat ratio, striking out only 10 times in 172 at bats (.058)
-2nd on team in home runs (2), 3rd in rbi's (30)
-2nd team All-CACC selection
-CACC All-Tournament Team selection
2008
-Led team in AVG (.371), slugging (.532), on-base percentage (.439)
-2nd in rbi's (23), 2nd in home runs (3)
-2nd team All-CACC selection
