NEW HAVEN, CT - After leading her team to a 3-0 week, Bloomfield College's Tiffany McDaniel has been tabbed the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 24.
McDaniel, a 6-1 junior center from Colonia, NJ, led BC to a 3-0 week to push the Lady Deacons into first place in the North Division in the CACC standings. She averaged 12.3 points, 11.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals per-game while shooting 58-percent (15-for-26) from the field. She notched 13 points and 13 rebounds against Felician and added 12 points, 14 rebounds and two steals at Nyack.
"We're excited for Tiffany that she has received this award," head coach Jerry Wimberly said. "She's one of the best post players in the league, so it's great she is receiving recognition for her outstanding play. She's been the backbone of our team's post game all season long, so she definitely deserves it."
McDaniel and the Lady Deacons return to the hardwood Tuesday, January 26 with a road CACC contest against Post University. Tip-off is set for 6:00 PM.
