Ten Deacons earn Dean's List honors for fall semester
BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The Bloomfield College baseball team has placed ten players on the Dean's List for their outstanding achievements in the classroom for the Fall 09' semester, in results released this afternoon.
Senior
Lou Guzman headlines a group of fiveplayers who received High Honors for the term, including sophomore
Michael Amonica, freshman
Travis Bates and sophomores
Mike Monaco and
John Vilichka. The quintet all registered grade point averages of 3.8 or higher for the semester. Players receiving Honors for obtaining a 3.5 GPA or higher included juniors Dave Ricci,
Chris Rosa and
Alberto Ruiz, sophomore
Mike Fratto and freshman
Carlos Grullon.
"This is a big honor for our program, to have this many players recognized for their tremendous academic achievements," head coach Jeff Watson said. "These players are student-athletes, not athlete-students. It's great to see our men putting in the hard work and focus in the classroom and achieving these types of results."
