BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The women's basketball team sent their seniors off in grand fashion Saturday afternoon, as they took their Senior Day tilt against CACC rival USP by a 77-58 margin.

Each senior made her presence felt in the Lady Deacons' eleventh conference victory of the season.  Guard Gretchen Rodrigues was the top scorer of the guests of honor, netting 14 points and connecting on four of her six three-point attempts while giving out a team-high five assists.  Milani Malik was right behind Rodrigues with 13 points on 5-10 shooting, and Emily Horrocks poured in 11 points of her own while dishing out four assists.  Alexis Sweeney was her usual disruptive self on the defensive end of the floor, swatting a block and pulling down three rebounds in 20 minutes of action.

The Lady Deacons rode a long-range performance in which they connected on 40% of their three-point tries to take a commanding 34-24 advantage into the intermission.  In the second half, they put the clamps on the Lady Devils on the defensive end, limiting USP to 35% shooting from the floor and thwarting any hopes of a come-from-behind victory.  The offense clicked on all cylinders for the Lady Deacons, as Coach Wimberly's squad shredded the USP defense with a 67% shooting performance over the final 20 minutes, allowing BC to pull away and move to 11-13 on the season and 9-1 on their home floor.

Dre'Shonda Williams was the top scorer for the Lady Deacons, coming off the bench to pour in 19 points and connect on nine of her 12 free-throw attempts.  Vanessa Lamison also provided a spark in reserve, notching 11 points and swiping a pair of steals.

The team returns to the hardwood Thursday, February 25 with a road contest against Wilmington University.  Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
