BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The men's tennis team dropped to 0-4 on the young season Sunday afternoon, as they fell to the nationally-ranked Concordia Clippers by a 9-0 margin at Brookdale Park.
In first doubles, the duo of
Andres DeCastro and
Daniel Petner lost to the team of Andrew Lindell and James Dabrotka 8-1. In second doubles,
Jamal Loper and
Jolston Wattley fell to Felix Missal and Raphael Namias 8-0. In third doubles,
Evan McCall and
Terry Gibbs couldn't top Shaolin Chadam and Andey Boldrev, falling 8-0.
In singles action, DeCastro was topped by Alex Grubin by an 8-0 margin in first singles. Missal was too much for Petner in second singles, though Petner was solid in an 8-3 defeat. Andrew Lindell bested Loper in third singles by a score of 8-0, and Dabrotka topped McCall in fourth singles 8-0.
Steven Hobart wasn't able to best Chadam in fifth singles as he fell 8-0, and Dan Oslilly topped Wattley by an 8-0 margin in sixth singles.
The team returns to action March 30 with a road match against CACC rival Caldwell College. No time has been set for the start of the match.
