PHILADELPHIA, PA - The men's tennis team fell to 1-6 on the season Thursday afternoon, as they dropped a 9-0 road decision to CACC rival Philadelphia University.

In doubles play, Jamal Loper and Daniel Petner fell 8-1 to the team of Adrian Torroella and Manoli Sacuros in first doubles, while Andres DeCastro and Jolston Wattley dropped an 8-0 decision to Ryan Christopher and Kyle Burke in second doubles.  Terry Gibbs and Evan McCall couldn't get the Deacons on the board in third doubles, as they fell to Seppi Hutter and Tom McAvoy 8-0.

In singles action, Loper fell to Torroella 8-0 in first singles, while Petner dropped an 8-1 decision to Sacuros.  DeCastro couldn't solve Burke in third singles falling 8-0, with Wattley falling to Christopher by the same margin in fourth singles play.  McCall dropped an 8-2 decision to Eric Guerrero in fifth singles, while Luis Perez fell to Hutter 8-0 in sixth singles to close out the match.

The team returns to action Friday, April 9 with a home match against CACC rival Post University.  Start time is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
