BRONXVILLE, NJ - The men's tennis team fell to 2-7 on the season Sunday afternoon, as they dropped a 9-0 road decision to nationally-ranked Concordia College.
In doubles competition,
Jolston Wattley and
Jamal Loper were defeated by Shaolin Chandam and Andrey Boldarev 8-0 in first doubles, while
Michael Beeson and
Luis Perez fell in second doubles by a score of 8-0.
Evan McCall and
Devang Patel couldn't get the Deacons on the board in third doubles, falling 8-0.
In singles action, Loper fell to Alex Grubin 8-0 in first singles, while Wattley dropped an 8-0 decision to Felix Missal in second singles. McCall fell to Raphael Namias 8-0 in third singles, while
Terry Gibbs dropped an 8-1 decision to Andreas Lindell in fourth singles.
Luis Perez couldn't solve Chandam in fifth singles, falling 8-0, and Beeson dropped an 8-1 decision in sixth singles to close the match for the Deacons.
The team returns to action Tuesday, April 13 with a match against CACC rival Caldwell College at Brookdale Park in Bloomfield, NJ. Start time is set for 3:00 PM.
