NEW HAVEN, CT - Men's basketball guard Elias Brantley and women's basketball guard Vanessa Lamison have earned spots on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference winter sports All-Academic Team, in results release by the conference.  A total of 34 student-athletes among the 14 conference schools earned a place on the teams.

In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a winter CACC Championship sport, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher.

"We are very please to have a member from each of our basketball programs honored for their outstanding academic achievements,"  Athletic Director Sheila Wooten said.  "Being an in-season athlete can be stressful, so the fact these two student-athletes were able to not only maintain their grades, but excel as much as they did during their seasons is really a testament to the amount of hard work and dedication they show in the classroom on a daily basis."
