Krystina Poloni belted a 3 run homer in the bottom of the 6th inning in game 2 and Brianne Moore earned the win in relief of Ashleigh Williams as BC kept their playoff hopes alive with a split with Felician.  The Deacons dropped game 1, 2-1 but bounced back for the 3-1 win in game 2.

In game 1 the Deacon bats were cold once again as Kristina Jiminez held them to one run in a complete game win.  BC broke out on top in the 3rd when Bianka Cosme singled and stole second.  She scored when a fly ball by Moore fell between Felician's center and right fielders to give BC a 1-0 lead.

Bloomfield carried that lead into the 6th when Lauren DeGrushe blasted a long home run to right center to tie it.  Felician's winning run was scored when DeGrushe laced a two-out RBI single in the top of the 7th.

Bloomfield threatened in the bottom of the 7th but Cosme struck out looking with runners on 2nd and 3rd.

Bloomfield received a strong effort from Moore in the circle as she pitched a complete game in a tough loss.  The Deacons left 10 runenrs on base, 7 of which were left in scoring position.

In game 2 the Deacons still couldn't figure out Felician's pitching as they tried to battle back from a 1-0 defecit all game.  Bloomfield threatened all game but left runners in scoring position in the first, second and fourth innings.

BC finally got the big hits they needed in the 6th inning.  Moore started the rally with a double and Amanda Bartels followed with a walk.  Poloni, who had been the Deacons' hottest hitter this week, crushed a long homer to right centerfield to give BC the winning margin.

Moore picked up the win in relief of Ashleigh Williams, who took a line drive off her already injured left hand in the 1st inning.  Moore pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing just 3 hits and striking out 6.

With Caldwell's sweeps of Post University and USP in the past two days and Wilmington University's loss to Goergian Court today, the Deacons' playoff hopes remain alive with just two doubleheaders left.

BC takes on Caldwell Thursday and then battles Wilimington in what could be a pivotal matchup to end the season on Saturday.
