Daye tabbed All-Met Division II Player of the Year
Guard earns third major honor in spectacular junior campaign
BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The awards keep rolling in for junior guard
Gage Daye, who has been named the All-Met Division II men's basketball Player of the Year in results released April 2.
The honor marks the third major award for the Deacons' sharpshooter: After earning the CACC Player of the Year Award at the conclusion of the regular season, Daye was tabbed a second team Daktronics All-American in the month of March.
"We are thrilled for Gage that he's received another prestigious award for the work he did this season," head coach Gerald Holmes said. "It shows the type of year he had, and how important he was to the success we had as a team. He's truly become a leader for us on and off the court, and it's great that another organization is recognizing his outstanding season and his tremendous accomplishments."
The awards will be presented at the Westchester Marriot Hotel in Tarrytown, New York on April 21. Daye will receive his honor at the annual All-Met Awards Dinner, which will take place at the hotel.
