Sara Locke
Bloomfield College senior 2nd baseman Sara Locke has been named to the CACC Spring All-Academic Team after finishing this year with a GPA of 3.84.  Locke, who hails from Dunellen, NJ, was the only Deacon named to the team.

"I have been proud of Sara from the first day she started at Bloomfield College," said Rocco Constantino, who has been Locke's coach in softball and soccer during her career.  "Sara is one of the hardest workers in the classroom and on the field in both sports.  She is a self-made success story."

As a two sport athlete, Locke has received CACC All-Academic honors in every semester she has been eligible for the award.  To be named All-Academic by the CACC, a student-athlete must be a sophomore academically and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.

An education major, Locke still  has one year of eligiblity left with the Women's Soccer team, but has exhausted her eligibility in softball.

While Locke was the only player named to the All-CACC academic team, many Deacon softball players had outstanding academic semesters this past fall.  Brianne Moore, Brittany DeVries, Krystina Poloni, Ashton Corley, Kira Wagar, Lindsey Ciresa and Ashleigh Williams all earned GPAs over a 3.0 during the Spring 2010 semester.
